Career competencies that human resource management examines it to realize job identity via career issues are a vital key to success. Career competencies are those behavioral competencies that are common to the all jobs, and combined with the organization wide competencies, make up the suite of behavioral competencies necessary for success. The aim of this study is relationship between competencies career and organizational success in universities of Iran. The statistical population consisted of all employees of Islamic Azad University in Rafsanjan and Kerman Branches. About 230 employees are selected. To collect data, it was used two questionnaires. The findings show that there is a meaningful relationship between career competencies and organizational success. Also, there is a meaningful relationship between career competencies and speed, flexibility, integration and innovation. Log linear analysis showed a meaningful relationship between career competencies and organizational success according to intermediate variables such as age, sex, seniority, and education. Organizations can support their success by reinforcing competencies which focus on employees‘ performance. It is possible to state that career competences are not static, they need to be renewed taking into consideration a person‘s career goals and plans of actions needed to achieve them.
